QUINTET ATHENS
Coordaintes and manages a team of professional wind players as the ensemble’s artistic director. Works with venues and event coordinators on event logistics for paid gigs as well as coordinating a number of free publicly accessible performances as part of the ensemble’s commitment to contribute to the cultural well being of Athens-Clarke County. Manages the ensembles social media, web presence, contractor payments, logistics, and performance programming. The ensemble was awarded with an artist grant in 2024 to support a children’s recital based on original stories written by K-5 students which became the foundation for original chamber music works written by local composers to be performed as part of Quintet Athens’ summer recital program for youth.
GUEST ARTIST | HEART MUSIC
Worked with HEART Music, a local 501(c)3 organization dedicated to providing accessible music education and support to Athens-Clarke County’s schools for their 2022 fundraising gala concert as a guest maestro conducting a mixed level orchestra made up of middle and high school students along with their HEART music teachers. Provided music engraving and arranging services as well to make a beginner accessible version of one of Kishi Bashi’s pieces to be performed at the event to accompany Kishi Bashi live.
Founded the long running community music ensemble The Athens Flute Choir in 2009 and was active in the management, coordination, and music direction of the ensemble until 2013. Worked with the ensemble to incorporate as a 501(c)3 dedicated to enriching the artistic community of Athens, GA through the exploration and performance of flute choir repertoire. The ensemble continues to operate today.
